Child Safety Seat Checkpoints 

Sheriff James McGettian is announcing that the ATLANTIC COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE will be hosting two Child Safety Seat Checkpoints the first on Saturday September 28^th, 2002. The event will run from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm and is taking place in the parking lot of TOYS-R-US and KIDS-R-US in Hamilton Township.

Technicians from the Sheriff’s Office and local Municipal Police Departments will be on hand to assist at this event. The second event will be on September 30^th.  This event will run from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and is taking place at the Hamilton Township Rescue Squad Building members of the Rescue Squad will on hand to assist.

Did you know?

• Four out of Five car seats are used incorrectly.
• 95% of kids 4-7 are riding at risk…could yours be one of them?
• Children between 40 and 80 pounds should ride in booster seats.
• Children age 12 and under should always be seat belted in the rear seant and never ever in front of an Air Bag.
• Remember your ABC’s…Always, Buckle, Children.
• We are saving lives one car seat at a time.
